What We Disclose

This policy explains what data we touch, why we touch it, and who else might see it. We treat our privacy policy like a nutrition label: listing all ingredients and explaining why each is needed.

Data We Collect

SouvenirPuzzle is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide a synchronized gaming experience:

• Account Information: Email address and username. Collected explicitly when you sign up to sync progress across devices.
• Game Progress: Puzzle completion times, scores, and unlocked levels. Collected to maintain your personal achievements and public leaderboards.
• Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store or see your full card details.
• Technical Data: Browser version and extension version for essential technical support and bug reporting.
• Anonymous Usage Statistics: A random identifier created on your device when the extension is installed, the days the extension was used, and a short list of named milestones such as "a puzzle was solved" or "the purchase page was opened". This identifier is not linked to your name, your email or your account, and it never travels with any photo, filename or puzzle content. We use it to answer basic product questions, such as how many people come back the day after installing.

How We Handle Your Data

We handle your data with extreme care:

• No Image Uploads: Your personal photos used for puzzles are processed locally in your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers or seen by us.
• No Tracking: We do not track your browsing history or monitor your activity on other websites.
• Encryption: All data is encrypted during transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest on our secure servers.

Use of Data

• Authenticate your account and secure your session.
• Synchronize game progress and settings across your devices.
• Display your username on public leaderboards.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
• Provide customer support when requested.

Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do NOT sell your data. We share data only with the following essential service providers:

• Stripe (Payment Processing): Email and payment info for secure transaction processing. (Privacy Policy)
• Railway (Infrastructure): Encrypted storage of account and progress data. (Privacy Policy)

We do NOT share data with any analytics platforms, advertisers, or data brokers.

Data Storage & Retention

• Location: Data is stored on secure servers in the United States.
• Retention: Active account data is kept as long as the account exists. Deleted accounts are fully purged from our systems within 30 days.
• Anonymous usage counts: kept for at most 13 months, then deleted automatically. They are never linked to an account.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

• Performance of a contract: your email, password and game progress, which are what make an account work.
• Consent: the anonymous usage counts. The extension asks before sending anything, and if you decline, nothing is sent. You can change your mind at any time.
• Legal obligation: payment records kept by Stripe for accounting and tax purposes.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you may access, export, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw your consent, and object to processing. Some of these are built into the product and need no request:

• Access and export: a signed-in account can retrieve everything we hold about it from /api/user/data/.
• Erasure: a signed-in account can delete itself, and all attached data, from /api/user/delete/. This cannot be undone.
• Withdrawing consent: decline the measurement banner, and nothing further is sent.

For anything else, or if you would rather we did it for you, write to support@fyardlest.net. We answer within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds

SouvenirPuzzle is unlocked with a single payment. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel.

• Nothing to cancel: the unlock is a one-time purchase, so no recurring charge is ever made. Players who bought an older monthly or yearly plan can still manage it from the Customer Portal in the extension settings.
• Refunds: As a digital service, all sales are generally final. However, we offer a 14-day refund window for users in the European Economic Area (EEA) in accordance with consumer protection laws.
• How to request a refund: Email support@fyardlest.net with your account email address.

International Data Transfers

If you access SouvenirPuzzle from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States. By using our service, you consent to this transfer. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

Children's Privacy

SouvenirPuzzle is family-friendly but not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe we have collected data from your child, contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date.
